The Images for Conservation Fund
(ICF) has announced its Symposium
for Landowners and Photographers,
and the Pro-Tour Launch Party, both
set for Saturday, March 18, 2006.
Symposium for Landowners and Photographers
Held in partnership with Texas Parks
& Wildlife, the ICF Symposium will
feature two programs: one for photographers
wishing to learn from the pros, and
one for landowners who want to diversify
ranch income by offering nature photo
tourism. Pro photographers, landowners
and tourism experts will lead the
programs at TMI in northwest San Antonio
from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission
is $75 and includes lunch.

Pro-Tour Launch Party
The Pro-Tour Launch Party is a spectacular
evening event celebrating the world's
first Pro-Tour of Nature Photography.
The party will be held at the historic
Gallagher Headquarters, located 23
miles NW of San Antonio. An exciting
and dramatic drawing will pair 20
world-class nature photographers and
20 Hill Country landowners into teams
for the month-long Pro-Tour competition.
Party attendees will see beautiful
images of nature and learn about the
Pro-Tour participants, who will be
competing for a share of up to $200,000
in prize money. Tickets are $50 and
include light supper. Casual dress.
The Launch Party runs from 6:30 PM
to 9:00 PM.

From Loop 1604, head north on IH 10.
Exit Camp Bullis Road and take a right
so that you head east on Camp Bullis
Road. Take your second left onto Tejas
Trail West. Follow Tejas Trail West
to the entrance of Texas Military
Academy (TMI). The entrance will be
on the left. Parking is available
in two student lots off the main road
once on campus. There is also a visitor
lot closer to the building for those
with mobility impairments. The Symposium
will be held in the Student Center,
Refectory and Theater of Ayres Hall.
NOTE: Vendors should stay to the
right and follow the main campus road
all the way around the campus until
reaching the back of Ayres Hall to
make unloading their materials easier.
This is the road that goes around
Ayres Hall to the east and all of
the dormitories to the north.

Proceed north on either US 281 or
IH 10 to Loop 1604 and turn left onto
Loop 1604 west. Continue heading west
on Loop 1604 for approximately 5 miles
past IH 10 and exit at Bandera / State
Highway 16, turning right onto Bandera
Highway (HWY 16). Head west on HWY
16 for approximately 10.4 miles through
the town of Helotes to 19179 S.H.
16 and turn left into the entrance
of Gallagher Headquarters. NOTE: Just
before coming to the Gallagher Headquarters
entrance, there is a small green highway
sign marking the San Geronimo creek
ahead, turn left (into the entrance)
just before crossing over the creek.
The address is marked on the gatepost
and there is a small white sign to
the left of the entrance which says,
�Old Peter Gallagher Headquarters.�
Cross the concrete bridge to an electric
gate (entrance code to be provided)
and continue on a small paved road
for 1.5 miles.
