2012 Pro-Am Tournament Archives

The 2012 Pro-Am Season was a blast! With six of our wonderful landowner member ranches hosting 7 events; Block Creek Natural Area, Dos Venadas|Campos Viejos, Martin Refuge, Rocking R 6, Santa Clara, Santa Margarita & Tacubaya the imagery captured was breathtaking!

Adding to the success of these events were our fantastic group leaders who are Professional Wildlife & Nature Photographers graciously serving as Coaches for these Pro-Am events. Many thanks from ICF and all participants of the past year in competitions go to: Larry Ditto; Sean Fitzgerald; Mike Francis; Dale Franz; Ruth Hoyt and Jeff Parker for providing excellent instruction and demonstrating patience in dealing with the "hiccups" that come with new and exciting competitions.

Of course, no competition can be made complete without a judging panel. And boy did ICF come through with that. A phenomenal set of judges from all over the US battled through the entire year of competitions; with technical difficulties, time zones differences, and even a world renowned storm system! Thank you to our wonderful judges; Stephen Freligh, Nature's Best Photography Magazine, Susan McElhinney, National Wildlife Federation's Ranger Rick, Kim Rothe, Texas Wildlife Association Magazine, Ryan Henry, South Texas Outdoor Magazine and Keely Lewis, retired photography instructor for providing your time and energy to this pursuit, and not to mention, your expertise and ability to see the detail , beauty & story told in each image submitted.

All of the 2012 Pro-Am Competitions were sponsored by gracious local businesses who support the ICF mission and vision and cheerfully contribute monetarily in agreement that "Photography is the Most Powerful Conservation Tool on the Planet". Sincere thanks to the 2012 Pro-Am Me & Us Competitions Sponsors: AEP Texas and The Valley Land Fund. And our deepest gratitude also to our 2012 Pro-Am Youth Tournament Sponsors: AEP Texas, The Valley Land Fund, Boggus Ford, Buffalo Wild Wings, Martin Farm & Ranch, Purina Mills, and Texas Farm Bureau.

Of course each competition, whether big or small cannot take place without participants! Well done to all our 2012 Pro-Am Amateur Photographer participants. Who regardless of background, age, or camera brand captured fantastic images, learned new techniques, and probably made sure to tell their friends at home about their experience with nature on private lands. Thank you to all 59 photographer participants who added to the grandeur of each Pro-Am!
