Mike Sloat started in photography when he was 15 years old. His
first camera was a Kodak box camera with 126 black and white film.
He has moved up a little, now shooting with a Nikon D2x, D1x and
F100. He has been shooting professionally for the last 5 years.
He travels to Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas for
his photography. All of his photos are of wild animals that are
not tamed, on lease, pets or from game farms.
He
owns a condo in Rockport, Texas, and does most of his photography
along the coast there. His photos are sold in numerous galleries,
chambers of commerce, state parks and hotels along the coast.
Mike
is retired from the Military after 36 years as a Pilot/Chief Warrant
Officer on Blackhawks. He rides a 2000 Dyna-Wide Harley Davidson
for relaxation. He belongs to the following organizations: TPPA,
NANPA, NAPP, NPCA and Save the Cougar Foundation.
