Knibbe Ranch

Franz_knibbe_cypress_trees2nd Grand Prize Winning Ranch
Teamed with D. Robert Franz

Founded in 1852, the 1,000-acre Knibbe Ranch is one of the few remaining Century Heritage Ranches in Texas. Fifth generation owner Charles J. “Chuck” Knibbe and his wife sharon and their children, manage the property located along the Guadalupe River in spring Branch, Comal County, Texas. Lone Star flags flank a cedar post entrance gate, offering a dramatic expanse of rolling grassy meadows dotted with sprawling oak trees. The blue-green Guadalupe River serves as a mile and a half of the ranch’s southern boundary and bubbling springs flow into beautiful spring Branch Creek as it meanders through the property.

Five years ago, the Knibbes entered into a joint hospitality venture with the Destination Management division of Marriott Rivercenter/Riverwalk of San Antonio to orchestrate ranch adventures for corporate and convention visitors, weddings and private events. A Texas-style veranda surrounds Knibbe Halle, a 12,000 square foot country lodge. Ranch offerings include a full–scale lighted rodeo arena and meadows bounded by the sparkling waters of oak-shaded Spring Branch Creek.
