The Camp Lula Sams Photography Tournament is proud to announce that Alessandra Hernandez and her photograph of a baby Texas Tortoise is last weeks winner!
Our judges from various professional publications including Texas Wildlife Magazine, and the Brownsville Herald loved the low angle and direct eye contact in this particular shot. Alessandra captured a species that is threatened in the state of Texas, which is a perfect example of why it’s super important to help Save Camp Lula Sams. These tortoises need native habitat to survive, and this is what Camp Lula Sams offers. Well done Alessandra!!
Alessandra wins a wildlife photography book called “Nature Exposed-Discovering South Texas Wildlife.”
