Event Description

Images for Conservation Fund is proud to partner with the Valley Land and Quinta Mazatlan to hold the first ever Southern Exposures Pro-Am Youth Tournament, June 14th, 15th, and 16th, 2013. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we have been able to send 6 lucky winners to a private ranch professionally prepared for wildlife photography, for a 3-day learning tournament led by professional photographer and ICF coach Ruth Hoyt. The participants will get hands on coaching each day, and their images will be judged by professional photo editors from across the nation. All participants and their images will be recognized at the Southern Exposures Awards Banquet in August. Many thanks to Martin Refuge for hosting this tournament, Ruth Hoyt for her expertise, the leadership of Quinta Mazatlan and the Valley Land Fund for their dedication to this project, and to the Valley Land Fund and the Payne Auto Group for their support of youth, wildlife, education, and conservation in the Rio Grande Valley.
